1. Article Marketing – You can write quality articles for article directories on the web. Submission is free. Top directories that you can use are ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com.
Writing articles about your topic of interest and sending them out to article directories and other websites is an ideal way to gain free advertising.
All you need is time and some writing skills. Its not hard as you may imagine. Once you start, you get going. Nothing will stop you. Ultimately it becomes your passion. Make sure that you write about something you’re passionate about. Half the war will be won!
If you simply cannot do it, try paid services for people who can write content for you. You will then simply paste it wherever you want. I really discourage paying for something you could do at no cost!
2. Blogs – Blogs are great tools that act as duplicate websites. They are extremely easy to set up. They’re also free. Blogger.com is one such service. I am using it now as I offer tips on promoting you website for free.
A unique feature of even free blogs like WordPress and Blogger is that you can set them up to automatically “ping” certain Search Engines to request that the spider comes out for another visit everytime new content is added.
Just set up it & offer content/useful tips. At the end of your post put links to your website.
3. Blog Comments – Why don’t you provide quality comments on the blogs that have been set to allow online users to publish their comments? Include a link to your website after posting. It cannot be easier than this!
4. Classified Ads – There are hundreds if not thousands of websites that you can submit a “website promotional” for free to promote your business.
Ads are placed according to category so that any resulting traffic will semi-targeted. Ads are placed instantly. Traffic may be instant too!
The downside is that since there are many ads coming in, yours will stay on the top page briefly(few seconds to be precise)
Don’t waste much time with them because the resultant traffic is very minimal at best.
5. Craiglist – Craiglist is a form of classified ads. Its very popular. You have to place your ad in the top 5 or ten largest cities. You do this manually, but a steady stream of traffic may result.
6. Ezines – Capture your visitors e-mail on the online form. Provide them with online magazine weekly or monthly.
7. Forums – Post intelligent answers on forums related to your website’s content. Leave a link at the bottom of the post pointing to your website. If your comments make sense, the online user will be inclined to want to know more about what you have to offer
8. Press Releases – Write a press release and distribute it to free press release services. Talk about your product or anythin related to your website.
